    Art we should see

    Patrick Dougherty

    Patrick Dougherty

So I was looking at more nature art, Patrick Dougherty in this case, and decided I wanted one of these in my house. I mean, we could make that, right? They look so graceful and serene, and I imagine they smell like a perfect blend of fresh dirt and old paper.  I read an article here, and it mentioned some of his recent installations, one of which I had seen and didn’t know it: the redesign of the Max Azaria store on Melrose, which was right by Danny and Amy’s house. Anyways, there’s an installation of his in San Francisco that will be up until November 2009, so maybe we should check it out? It’s at the Joseph L Alioto Performing Arts Piazza – do you know where that is?

    Your learning for today…

So, I know how much you like to learn new stuff. And my endeavor in life is to make you super smart so…

In my reading today I’ve come across some good stuff. Did you know there is some crazy research being done these days on Cetaceans?

Also, apparently the Rorschach tests have been let out in the public and a bunch of people are up in arms about it. I think its pretty ridiculous, but I love Rorschach tests even though they are almost complete bullshit.  I think they are still accurate in telling if someone is super duper crazy rather than just a little crazy.

    I like this guy’s art.

And lastly, Mars! Astroids destroyed its magnetic flows man!

    Links

Okay, there are two ways to do it. One, edit the html and add the “target” code, in this case, open the link in a new window is Target equals “_blank”. I used this method on the link from yesterday’s post to Garance’s blog, and it worked. I attempted to use it on the link I put to the Olay vs Creme de la Mer blog, and it did not work, because that link kept adding a rel equals “nofollow” tag, which I have no idea what that means, but I am guessing it has something to do with her particular blog settings forcing us to navigate away from our own page. Way to pee in our cornflakes, other blog lady.

The other way is probably easier. When you are posting, simply highlight the phrase you want to use as a link, and then the LINK button in the posting panel becomes active, and it brings up that dialogue box you mentioned, and then you can set the target to open in a new page, like this.
